If you go down to the woods today..
I'm a massive fan of John Howe's work so when I got one of his books for Christmas, I couldn't help but attempt a drawing in his style. Problem being that his sketches look a lot easier than they really are plus being left handed meant that I was forever drawing and smudging the picture, which made what was meant to be a quick sketch, a week long ordeal. However I do like how it finally turn out and I guess it was a good learning curve.
I hope you enjoy it!
Beautiful pencil work! Love the light and the mysterious atmosphere in the woods.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comment Yara, I was trying to get a Fangorn Forest feel to it.
DeleteSo weird. I love it!
ReplyDeleteCheers Ted. Thank you for becoming my 3rd follower. I'll try not to let you down.
DeleteDefinitely weird! And cool! Neat work with the light. (Also, put a piece of scrap paper under your hand and you won't smudge as much!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment Cindy. Yeah I do need to use that method more often, however I always find myself trying to beat the left handed smudging law only to be defeated by it again & again.
