Many faces.

IF: Myth The creatures.

On a slow day I found myself looking through one of my old school journals 

when I came across a few pages in which I had covered , head to toe, with a doodle 

creature I had made up while not working. This creature was pretty much just a rabbit-like thing looking over a fence or line on the paper.  

These are some doodles ideas I tried after finding the old school pictures. For some reason, I've given the creatures a more fearful attitude. It just seemed the best way to go. 

In the top one I've gone for a zombie horde theme.  (I've been reading World War Z)

The second one down I've clearly just ripped off the Phantom Menace poster, which if you've never seen, features Anakin  standing outside his home with a shadow of Darth Vader. 

The third one is pretty much self explanatory. "ITS BEHIND YOU"!!!

In the last one, which I enjoyed the most, a guy is trying to hide in a dark cupboard- only to be found by the creatures. It reminds me of the lawyer in Jurassic Park who leaves the kids to hide in the toilets- only to be found by the T-Rex. (He was probably my most hated film character as a kid).

I don't really have the time to put much effort into this weeks Illustration Friday.

So I've just done this very quick doodle of a guy who's accidentally clicked 'zoom in'

on one of  his contact lenses.

  Using a quote from the Neil Young song I've been listening to

for the past week (Powderfinger). Which I then miss quoted, due to the fact that I had one eye

on what I was doing and another on the footie match I was watching.

The original quote is 

"Look out mama there's a white boat comin' up the river"

Sketch book 7

Did the bottom half of this page a few months ago, when I was creating my cover picture 

then over time Ive filled in the top half with my first and probably only attempt 

at poetry.

Commodore Terry and Larry Ness.

As the stories go, Commodore Terry and his second in command Larry Ness have circumnavigated the seven seas twice (clockwise and anti-clockwise), found an eighth sea which they claim is five times the size of the Pacific Ocean and is found between the Indian Ocean and the Irish Sea, once beat the Kraken and Moby Dick in a fight after they tried to hustle them in a game of tic-tac-toe and once happy slapped Lord Nelson just before the Battle of Trafalgar and got away with it. 

IF: Mirror

Some of my IF:Mirror ideas. decided to go for the worm looking into the mirror as it makes the least sense of them all plus I enjoy how his expression came out.

 Like with most of my art collage projects I could never be arsed planning for too long and would jump straight into the project with very little planning. Well this no different as after only three ideas  ( two being the same idea) I've decided to go with my first doodle.
